dlvrNOW Driver Standards

Driver Do’s and Don’ts

These guidelines outline the expected standards for all dlvrNOW drivers. They are designed to support safe handling, accurate execution, customer trust, and a consistent delivery experience across every job.

Do’s for dlvrNOW Drivers

What every driver is expected to do on the platform.

  1. 1. Do accept only jobs your vehicle can handle

Only accept jobs that match your assigned service category and vehicle capacity. Your vehicle must be suitable for the item’s size, weight, and handling requirements.

  2. 2. Do review job details carefully before moving

Check all key job details before starting the trip.

    • Pickup location
    • Delivery location
    • Number of stops
    • Item details
    • Special handling instructions
    • Recipient details where applicable
  3. 3. Do follow the correct pickup and delivery process

Use the app workflow properly from start to finish. Mark statuses accurately and do not skip required steps.

  4. 4. Do capture proof of delivery properly

Take clear, useful photos where required at collection and delivery. Images should not be blurry, dark, or careless.

  5. 5. Do inspect items visually before transport

Where possible, confirm the visible condition of the item before loading. If something appears damaged or unsafe, report it through the proper channel.

  6. 6. Do secure items properly in your vehicle

Place and transport items in a way that reduces damage, spillage, crushing, shifting, and weather exposure.

  7. 7. Do be professional with customers and recipients

Be polite, calm, and direct at all times. Every interaction reflects on the dlvrNOW brand.

  8. 8. Do communicate delays honestly

If there is traffic, a location issue, or a delivery problem, communicate promptly through the proper platform process.

  9. 9. Do keep your documents and profile information up to date

Your licence, vehicle documents, and supporting records must always be current, accurate, and legible.

  10. 10. Do keep your vehicle clean and presentable

A clean, safe, and well-maintained vehicle helps build trust and supports a professional delivery experience.

  11. 11. Do handle all items with care

Treat every item as if the customer may inspect it at handoff.

  12. 12. Do verify the correct recipient or receiving party

Especially on multi-stop jobs, confirm that each item is handed to the correct person or location.

  13. 13. Do stay active only when genuinely available

If you are online, you should be ready to respond to and complete jobs properly.

  14. 14. Do follow platform instructions on returns or failed deliveries

If a delivery cannot be completed, follow dlvrNOW protocol. Do not create your own process.

  15. 15. Do protect customer trust

Respect customer privacy, package information, locations, and delivery interactions at all times.

Don’ts for dlvrNOW Drivers

What drivers must avoid on the platform.

  1. 1. Don’t accept jobs that do not match your vehicle

Do not take oversized, unsuitable, or unsafe loads simply to get the trip.

  2. 2. Don’t mark statuses inaccurately

Do not claim a status that does not reflect reality.

    • Do not mark arrived when you have not arrived
    • Do not mark collected when you have not collected
    • Do not mark delivered when handoff is incomplete
  3. 3. Don’t skip proof of delivery

Missing POD weakens trust and can affect disputes, ratings, and performance standing.

  4. 4. Don’t mishandle customer items

Do not throw, drag, crush, stack carelessly, or expose items unnecessarily.

  5. 5. Don’t leave items unattended

Never abandon a package unless platform rules and customer authorization clearly allow it.

  6. 6. Don’t give items to the wrong person

Wrong handoff, especially on multi-stop jobs, is a serious operational failure.

  7. 7. Don’t use rude, aggressive, or careless communication

No arguments, disrespect, threats, or dismissive behavior.

  8. 8. Don’t operate with unreadable or expired documents

Incomplete compliance should never be treated as acceptable.

  9. 9. Don’t use a poor-quality or misleading driver profile

Do not use unclear photos, false information, or inconsistent records.

  10. 10. Don’t delay updates when something goes wrong

If there is an issue, report it promptly. Silence creates bigger problems.

  11. 11. Don’t transport items in unsafe conditions

Do not carry items in a way that exposes them to rain, contamination, impact, or preventable damage.

  12. 12. Don’t treat dlvrNOW like informal side work

The platform is built around standards, traceability, and accountability.

  13. 13. Don’t store customer items on your own

Drivers are not warehousing agents. If delivery fails, follow return protocol.

  14. 14. Don’t share customer information unnecessarily

Addresses, phone numbers, package details, and movement information must be handled carefully.

  15. 15. Don’t manipulate the system

No fake completions, no false reports, no misuse of app flow, and no behavior that undermines trust.
